Holy Mujer

An Unboxing Experience — Graphic Design — Packaging Design

Overview

For this packaging design project, I was instructed to create a subscription-based box to create an unforgettable experience for the consumer. During this process, we individually researched our competition in the industry of our choice, narrowed down demographics, and developed an understanding of who our targeted audience would be. In the end, I developed a brand called Holy Mujer, a subscription-based box that includes and promotes handcrafted homeware created by Latinas around the world.

Solution

This subscription box will ultimately showcase and share the beauty of Latin America while supporting Latina women around the world. I explored different design choices and came to a decision to create a colorful box that communicated power in femininity, creativity in the community, as well as beauty and fun in the culture. I incorporated a font created by Latino Eli Castellanos, Barricada, paired with Century Gothic Pro. My palette was derived from one of the products in the box itself, the textile napkin.
