Butterfly Jewelry Box

Interactive Packaging — Graphic Design — Packaging Design

Overview

For this packaging design project, I was instructed to design an interactive package for a product of our choice. The goal was to create a everlasting experience when the consumer interacts with the product. During this process, we individually chose a product and discussed how to create a packaging design that will be unique, functional, and unforgettable. In the end, I developed a brand called Sanctuary, that focuses on creating handcrafted earrings based on fauna and flora provided by Mother Nature

Soultion

For this edition to Sanctuary’s brand, I was inspired by a butterflies and wished to create a jewelry box based off them. This jewelry box is to reflect a butterfly and plant sanctuary inspired by Victorian Style glass houses, where the butterflies fly freely. The consumer will experience entering the sanctuary and be amongst the vast butterflies, and being able to interact with them. I chose a green and blue color palette to reflect nature, and help the colorful earrings stand out amongst the greenery. My font choices are inspired by victorian old style, and a simple pairing.
